In general, and for better or worse, when Andrea and I originally worked on 'burnt' we tried to find only steps that came as a natural extension of our conversations. I also drew upon our idiosyncracies, our common heritage and classical training.....and as far as I can tell, there must have been some fairly 'burnt' feelings in the air. Re-working the solo with Heather, the steps seemed to understand, and 'dig' for a kind of universality - an abiding force was present as Heather became both conduit and inspiration.
