Interpretive Artist
A graduate of the National Ballet School, Lara spent 12 years working in various companies in Europe, Canada and Brazil, with Choreographers: Kevin O’Day, Dominique Dumais, Jan Lauwers, Martin Stiefermann, Christopher House, James Kudelka and Deborah Colker. Lara was a 1997 DanceWeb scholarship recipient in Vienna and received a Canada Council Grant in 2000 to explore dance in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, New York and Montreal, meeting the likes of Lloyd Newson, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, David Howard and Trisha Brown. Lara is a teacher, choreographer and yoga instructor and has taught dance at several companies and institutions worldwide.
