Jeannie Vandekerhove

Interpretive Artist

Jeannie Vandekerkhove is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and collaborator working in contemporary and multi-disciplinary creations. Jeannie received her training at the Banff Centre, Interarrium, Springboard, Arts Umbrella and the Ballet BC mentor program. She has performed nationally, internationally and worked as a freelance artist in Vancouver, Montreal and Edmonton. Jeannie has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Benoit Lachambre, Deborah Dunn, Paula de Vasconcelos, Jennifer Mascall, Wen Wei Wang, Nicole Mion and Gerry Morita among others. Her work has been presented at the Pop Montreal Music Festival, the Fluid Festival, and the Feats Festival. Last summer Jeannie worked alongside Hideo Arai from Tokyo creating a dance film in the badlands of Alberta based on Noguchi Taiso methods.
